Belair Villas are located on the outskirts of the village of Vamvakopoulo, very close to Chania town and some beautiful golden sandy beaches. Not only are all amenities close by, but the villa is also in the perfect location to explore the local area.
Chania town is famous for its beautiful architecture and harbour influenced by the Venitian and Turkish periods and needs to be experienced by day and night. Wander the small lanes with their variety of tavernas, restaurants, small shops and beautiful buildings. Stroll around the famous Venetian harbour filled with boats and enjoy a frappe in one of the cafes with views of the lighthouse and Turkish mosque. Visit some of the fascinating museums, such as the Naval museum at the edge of the harbour, and enjoy the sunset as day becomes dusk and the atmosphere of Chania town transitions under the light of the moon.
Vamvakopoulo village has a handful of traditional tavernas and is a mere 4 minute ( 1.3km) drive from the villa. Local tavernas can also be found around the beaches of Chrissi Akti and Agii Apostoli. These beaches are beautiful sandy bays which are shallow so great for families.
Large supermarkets, bakeries and patisseries are within 4 minutes drive (1.6kms) , so stocking up on supplies is easy. Of course you also have the farmers market in Chania town for fresh local produce.
Being on the outskirts of Chania you are spoiled for choice but you also have the opportunity to easily explore places such as the Therisso gorge and the botanical park with its beautiful walk and restaurant serving home grown ingredients.
Drive to the south coast and witness the tropical pink sands and turquoise water of Elafonissi beach or collect shells on the wonderful beach of Falassarna.
As far as location is concerned, you are spoilt for choice but whatever you decide to do, be it exploring the local area or simply relaxing at the villa, we are sure you will be delighted.
